Workshop Description
Every week, we come together to prepare a feast (sometimes using the traditional umu, earth oven), bringing people closer through the shared experience of cooking and community. In these gatherings, you'll learn to master the art of the Tao Umu ke Moho—making sure your food is perfectly cooked with the wisdom passed down through generations. We also explore the heart of Island cooking with Feofanaki—cooking with love, the most important ingredient in any dish. Inspired by the wisdom of my Mum’s Kai Niue and my Dad’s Ota (raw fish with lime juice and fresh coconut milk), we’ll show you how to make these cherished Island favourites. In addition to the seasonal Umu, you’ll learn to cook taro, create a flavorful seafood salad with quick homemade mayonnaise, prepare everyday staples like Chop Suey, and bake traditional treats like Pani Popo (coconut buns) and Coconut Bread. Whether you join us for our seasonal celebration or invite me into your home for a personal session, you’ll experience the warmth and connection that comes from Island cooking. Cancellation Policy
We understand situations arise when you may need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. To do so we require 24-hour notice in advance. This allows us to offer the appointment slot to another client on our waiting list Cancellations or rescheduling made less than 24-hour before maybe subject to a cancellation fee. No-shows without prior notification will incur half of your appointment cost. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation with this policy as it helps us maintain efficient scheduling and service quality for all of our clients. In case of emergencies or unforeseen circumstances. Please contact us to discuss your situation. We may be able to waive the cancellation fee at our discretion
